Kelly Gammie



Kelly, a dancer of 23 years, is a graduate of the Fine Arts Dance Program at York University, where she trained in ballet and modern. She was also a member of the York University Hip Hop Team for the duration of her studies. Prior to her post-secondary program, she was trained formally in ballet, pointe, jazz and tap, and self-trained as a hip-hop dancer. She is the founder of the Invictus Dance Project, a collective that brings together dancers of various backgrounds to create unique contemporary performance opportunities. Her choreography has been featured in Toronto’s Original Choreographers Ball, The Rivoli Dances, Dance Matters and in self-produced shows. She also currently performs with and co-choreographs for the all-female, hip hop crew DEUCEnDIP, most notably featured on 5 episodes of Much Music's NML Dance Battlez. Kelly's credits include: Jason Derulo, Hedley, Psy, Massari, Dragonette, We Day Toronto/Waterloo and more. Kelly is an enthusiastic and passionate instructor who strives to see growth in her students both technically and creatively. She currently teaches in various cities across Canada and has worked with social outreach programs such as Just Bgraphic and Outside Looking In.
