Joseph Herbison has worked throughout Canada, Italy, China, the Middle East and in Manhattan as a performer, director and arts educator. He is a graduate of Western University’s Vocal Performance program and the Artist Community Education program at Queen’s University. Since obtaining his Bachelor of Education, Joseph has held a variety of musical education positions. He is thrilled to return to Randolph Academy for his third year as Music Director for Broadway Babies, Glee and the Triple Threat Program. He currently acts as the Choral Director for Sistema Toronto and Musical Director for the Flato Markham Theatre Drama Camp Program. He has worked for such organizations as TADA! Youth Theater in Manhattan and Accademia Europea dell’Opera in Milan. When not in the classroom, he can be seen on stages internationally. Recent performance credits include Baloo in Jungle Book Circus (China and Dubai Tour), Jason in A Grand Night for Singing (St. Lawrence Shakespeare Festival) and singing backup for Josh Groban at the Air Canada Centre. He has also done some film and television work including roles on CBC’s “Fifth Estate”. His musical background spans from opera and classical repertoire to pop and musical theatre. Favourite credits include: Alex in Girl In the Frame (Canadian Premiere), Burrs in The Wild Party, Collins in Rent, Cinderella’s Prince in Into the Woods, Javert in Les Miserables, William Barfee in Spelling Bee, Masetto in Don Giovanni and Bobby in Crazy For You.
