Richard Stewart is a voice coach, actor and teacher. Richard holds a BA in Psychology from Carleton University and is a graduate of York University?s MFA in Theatre program. In 2008 he completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Voice, Speech & Dialect Coaching and participated in a voice coaching internship in 2009 at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, England. Mr. Stewart?s rich acting career has taken him to notable stages including The Stratford Shakespeare Festival and The Shaw Festival. Recently he has performed for: Bound to Create Theatre, Cheeky Magpie Theatre, Expect Theatre, Theatre Archipelago and a number of Film & television roles. Richard currently teaches Voice and Acting at York University and Redeemer University College. In the Fall 2012 he taught for The Stratford Shakespeare Festival?s Birmingham Conservatory for Classical Theatre Training. Richard has many years of experience teaching youth through arts and community based organizations including Shakespearience, b-current, Shakespeare In Action, and Arts Express.
