M. John Kennedy
M. John Kennedy has been a Faculty Member at the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts since 2002 and has taught many courses in Acting Area of the College Program ranging from Theatre History and Shakespeare to Improvisation and Scene Study. M. John is Co-Artistic Director of Solar Stage (solarstage.on.ca). Recently, he played multiple roles in a Dora-nominated adaptation of Treasure Island (which is retuning December, 2016) and had a turn as Krampus. He also directed a Dora-nominated adaptation of a collection of Robert Munsch stories. M. John is working with The Classical Theatre project, playing Polonius, Friar Laurence and Banquo in their productions of Hamlet, Romeo & Juliet and Macbeth, respectively. M. John has toured Canada and the U.S. extensively, and has spent a few summers at both Globus Theatre (Bobcaygeon) and The Capitol Theatre (Port Hope). He has performed in Toronto at The Lagoon Theatre, Factory Theatre, Canadian Stage, Theatre Passe Muraille, and The Second City. M. John's television work includes: The Strain (FX); Houdini and Doyle (Global); Reign, The Listener & Dan for Mayor (CTV); The Transporter (HBO); Beauty and the Beast (CW/CBS); and Team Epic. He can also be heard in Decoder Ring Theatre's radio plays and as the Dad the upcoming animated series, Ollie's Edible Adventures. M. John received his BAH from York University and his MA from the University of Toronto. He has trained with Bluemouth, NaCL, The Second City, Soulpepper, Rapier Wit and the Professional Actors’ Laboratory.
