"Omigod you guys!" Legally Blonde: The Musicalis coming to the Randolph Theatre! The hysterical, uplifting, and award-winning musical features the Randolph Academy College Program's Class of 2013 under the direction of Dora Award nominee Lezlie Wade (Asst. Director, Jesus Christ Superstar, Stratford/Broadway), with musical direction by Lily Ling (Canadian Premieres of The Light in the Piazza, Parade, Acting Upstage) and choreography by Ovation Award winner Jason Franco. Legally Blonde: The Musical opens August 1, 2013, at 8 p.m. and continues to August 10 at the Randolph Theatre, 736 Bathurst Street, Toronto. "Are you psyched, or what?"

"Legally Blonde is a show about reaching your potential, told with a perfect blend of heart and humour," says director Lezlie Wade. "I feel incredibly privileged to be working with such a talented group of young people on this incredible show."

In Legally Blonde: The Musical, sorority girl Elle Woods will do anything to win her boyfriend back after he unexpectedly breaks up with her to go to Harvard Law. She follows him to Harvard where what she values is ridiculed. Given the opportunity to work on an important murder case, Elle discovers that she is more skilled with the law than she thought. Through it all, Elle learns - and even teaches - some difficult but funny lessons about self-worth.

More than just a stylish present wrapped in a pink bow, Legally Blonde: The Musicalhas an outstanding pedigree. First a novel then a hit movie, the musical ran for 600+ performances on Broadway, earning seven Tony Award nominations, ten Drama Desk Award nominations, plus a 2007 Outer Critics Circle Award, and its chorus was awarded the first-ever Actors' Equity Association's Advisory Committee on Chorus Affairs Award. It subsequently inspired an MTV reality show, has had several national and international tours, and won a Laurence Olivier Award (Best New Musical).

The cast of Legally Blonde: The Musicalis made up of students taking their final step in professional training in the Randolph Academy's college program.
