About The Academy

Housed within the Randolph Centre for the Arts, the Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts is a gathering place for those who have a passion for the performing arts and seek an outlet for creative expression. We are not just devoted to nurturing the careers of budding artists, but also believe in contributing to the arts community at large.
The Academy offers a  post-secondary/college-level Triple Threat(R) training program for those who are serious about pursuing professional careers in the arts. On the recreational level, the Academy offers acting, Triple Threat™, and non-competitive dance classes for students 3-17. For schools and tour groups, the Academy offers workshops covering all aspects of the performing arts.
We pride ourselves in being"out-of-the-box" thinkers as creators of the first Triple Threat™ program in Canada. The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts builds on this foundation of innovation by nurturing fresh talent and fostering provocative ideas, all within a dynamic, enriched setting where imaginative and energetic aspiring performers are teamed with disciplined and accomplished professionals.
We hope to cultivate and unleash an unparalleled new wave of creativity in all aspects of the performing arts by providing a centre for community interaction, innovation and artistic support.
The Academy’s home at 736 Bathurst is steeped in the history of theatre in Canada. Known collectively as the Bathurst Street Theatre, it has been a landmark roadhouse for original Canadian theatre since the 1960s. The building continues to play an active part in the theatre community, hosting performances, workshops, auditions, and rehearsals by professional companies. Past guests have included Seth Rudetsky, Jason Robert Brown, Gavin Creel, Judith Thompson, Spring Awakening N. American tour auditions, Jersey Boys Toronto production auditions, and more. Current guests in the building include Classical Theatre Projects, Classical Theatre Lab, and the Fringe of Toronto Theatre Festival.
The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts is incorporated as Randolph School of the Arts. The Randolph School of the Arts is a not-for-profit educational institution incorporated by the province of Ontario. The School also has registered charitable status.

The Randolph Academy for the Performing Arts is a member of the Ontario Association of Career Colleges.
